The Exorcist (Drama Series)

This is a drama series from fox channel. I am very sad that this drama only have 2 seasons to watch and I don’t get to know what happened after Father Marcus heard God’s voice once again.

After researching a bit, I found out that this drama series is based off a same name novel by William Peter Blatty. I also found that the show is being cancelled by the tv channel themselves. The show is amazing though, why do you have to cancel it?

I’m always interested in these kind of genre, religion, horror kind of movies or drama. I’m always liked it when they provide an insight of what churches are facing and how to deal with them.

I’m guessing there are more character to be build but still is a shame that it has to be cancel. For this short seasons of the drama, one thing that leave an impression on me is Father Marcus. He is a homosexual in the drama and also is in real life. I’m going to be honest I instantly love him the moment I saw him in the drama.  I was very sad to see Father Marcus left at first because I’m in love with this actor.

There was this 2 scene or more where he is wearing this half vest thing and put on a coat and the priest collar or just the vest and white shirt. God!! That was spicy and hot. Handsome looking, mate.

I like his acting as if he is the character himself and acted very naturally especially when he smirk or do a little smile. Oooh, where that scene where he give Father Tomas a bottle of water and a pack of snacks to choose but he grab the snacks himself first and that smile. Cute!!  Also I liked his accent in the drama and I’m very heartbroken when I saw him cry. Seriously I want to crawl in my laptop to give a big hug.

In this show, the churches are being compromised. They have to fight through this war and there are up and down on this journey. If this show are to be continued, it can be compared to another drama series “Supernatural”. In season 2, you could see some of the pattern with the supernatural show. I could even hear the “the road so far...” being played on the exorcist’s episode.

That won’t make it a spoiler but just a bait for you guys to wonder what the hell I’m talking about. Seriously, go watch it!!

Another thing is I love the interaction between Father Marcus and Father Tomas. When I found out that Father Marcus is homosexual, I instantly want him to be pair up with Father Tomas. Sorry, man!!! I could see the worry and fear in Father Marcus eyes when Father Tomas decided to do something dangerous. Even in Father Marcus action in trying to protect him. 

One of the reasons why this show have to be cancel is about a priest being homosexual. The only thing I can see as a problem for this show to be public aired is this. I guess this could stir up a lot of controversial topic for the drama which might cause harm.

Other than the reason mentioned above I don’t see why this drama couldn’t make it ways into a big film. I mean, the story twist is nice and the filming angle, setting and colouring are great. Big thumbs up for the scene where Father Marcus saved the pope from the enemy the filming setting and the action and the aftermath and that slow motion is perfect. The script writing is good too, “I can’t be an exorcist but I can be a taxi driver.” I can’t stop laughing at that, Father Tomas.

Look at our Father Marcus, how cute XD  Like that vest on you, mate. ;)

Overall, I would go around and force peoples to watch it because I like it and it deserve more like. ;)
