PERFUME WISHLIST 2022

I’m a perfume person. Perfume is like a smell of the memories. When I smell that particular scents I always comes to remember what I feel and what I did that time.  My perfume preferences is woody, floral, everything else but definitely not sweet.

In buying the authentic full size perfume, I always opt for those defect product like a scratch on a bottle or label or the packaging. I am also not very picky with noozle not functioning well as I can always –transfer it out to another bottle. Some people might took this seriously but not for me because is half of the original price and I have a collection to build.

For the tester that I have bought, I cannot guarantee that it is how the original perfume should smell but at least it helps to give an idea of what I should expect. I think this is a good way to see whether a perfume is of your liking without spending whole bunch of cash on an authentic full size perfume and finding out that the smell doesn’t suits you.

TESTER THOUGHT: The present of Clove makes the perfume having a 'spice' scent when first apply. After the top notes went away, it left behind a floral woody scent. Although there are the presence of honey, the perfume only give out a very subtle sweet scent

TESTER THOUGHT:  On first sniff, the smell kind of remind me of L’Artisan Passage d’Enfer Parfumeur just not as spicy. For Passage d’Enfer I would wear it if I’m trying to tell the other people to stay away from me for today because today I’m a ‘bomb’. But for this guy I will wear on a gloomy or a rainy day because it makes me feel warm.

Nuit de cellophane 2009

TESTER THOUGHT: Like the combination of the fragrance notes. Jasmine and Lily stands out to me a lot. This perfume is not too sweet for me maybe because they added in woods and musk to balance the sweetness out. I could imagine wearing this perfume to an elegant spring afternoon tea hangout. This perfume also light up the mood.

DAVIDOFF

TESTER THOUGHT: Love the base note combination. Aquatic perfume is a new kind of perfume to me as my impression of men perfumes is of very dense smell (idk what that chemical is called). I would wear this perfume to a very formal occasion.

TESTER THOUGHT:  On first sniff, the perfume reminds me of the smell of a hair cream that my grandpa used to wear when he is getting ready to go out. After that the scent comes a bit of orange, lemon then woody. It is recommended by a vlogger Oliver Walsh to buy  EDP version for women.

TESTER THOUGHT: I'm not a sweet perfume lover but this one is acceptable. The feels of ocean draws me in.

TESTER THOUGHT: This perfume is not as sweet as Do Son from Diptyque, surprisingly both of the perfumes have Orange blossom and Jasmine in them. But Black Opium have a strong scent of Jasmine which is what I like. Just can't stop sniffing on the perfume like an addict.

TESTER THOUGHT: For the first spritz, I'm not a fan of the sweetness but after the sweetness went away the scent of peony and jasmine comes in which makes the mood very uplifting. I could imagine wearing this to a shopping spree trip.  

ACQUA DI PARMA

TESTER THOUGHT: Hawaiian sea vibe, the sun is bright but not hot and burning, the water is cold enough. The after scent is the smell of the skin after you have come out from swimming. I will choose this if i would have a trip to the beach.

TESTER THOUGHT: The top notes does stay a little bit longer, while its started to dry up still can smell a little bit of rose, when is complete dry left behind a subtle woody scent, which a good scent for cozy evening winding down dinner or a chilling evening drinking party

TESTER THOUGHT: I get why is named with the word ‘ghost’. Because after the perfume have evaporated, the scent is like there but not really there. You though you smell something nice but when you try find it is not there. Is pretty interesting. On first spray the perfume might fell strong but it settle into something subtle like how the washed cloth should smell.

DIOR

TESTER THOUGHT: The pepper smell is strong and when you get a sniff, you will keep wanting to smell more. Although is spicy but the following smell of floral makes the atmosphere seems very mystery. I think it suits for glamour nigh drinking party in a ballroom or business occasion. it is recommended to go the elixir version for women by the vlogger Oliver Walsh. 

HERMÈS

Terre d'Hermès 2006

TESTER THOUGHT: On the first sniff, the pepper combination scent went straight to the lungs and have a spicy 'burning' sensation. As if you are at a warm forest surrounds by greens and there was enough sunlight shining through. This one is spicier than the Sauvage by Dior. 

BVLGARI

TESTER THOUGHT: Darjeeling tea smell fresh. There is a glimpse of baby powder smell when the scent just 'pass by' in front of you kind of like the one from baby Johnson. Or this how a baby should smell like

TESTER THOUGHT: Although is named extreme but the scent is not too strong and are good for daily wear. The nut smell and petitgrain stand out very much to me

TESTER THOUGHT: This perfume smell fresh but somehow doesn’t last for long. I’m wishing that the white tea could be added into the base notes group. Probably need to spray multiple times to get the scent stay longer on cloth. From the tester that I have bought, I think this would best to spray on clothes rather than on skin because it evaporates so fast.

TESTER THOUGHT: The sweetness of the perfume is on the right level for my liking although is not classify as a sweet perfume. The combination of Jasmine, Oolong tea and Musk create a relaxing mood like I am standing in a flower field and wind blows while watching the sunsets. Could also smell a hint of the perfume when the person who wear is close to you.

TESTER THOUGHT:  Although this is a perfume for men but I would still wear this even though I’m a girl (not really sure which version of the perfume that I get for the tester). I would wear this perfume with a basic white t shirt, a black trousers and white sneakers or sports shoes with minimal accessories. I will add on a leather jacket or maybe a pair of sunglasses as an extra vibe. This perfume is the center of attention.

TESTER THOUGHT: The first thought that comes to my mind when first smell this perfumes is the surfing board. In my mind, this is how the smell should when you are riding on the wave and the water splash on your skin. For me, I don’t know how to surf so I will wear this when I’m hanging out with friends where we could go to explore another side of the town or having a drive in a car around the town

TESTER THOUGHT:  The first feeling for this perfume is very warming. I would wear this perfume with a white blouse and a blue jeans like a man with a cool and chill vibe. Mystery and charming.

TESTER THOUGHT: I don’t quite like this perfume as the smell of vanilla is too milky for me. This one also remind me of one of the perfume that I try out and really dislike it. It is called Lait Concentré Chabaud Maison de Parfum but Loewe is not as strong as the Lait concentre. So I think I would still consider to get small size rather than full size for some occasion where I want be dress up in beautiful dress.

TESTER THOUGHT:  The first sniff is my impression of how a men’s perfume should smell. But after a few moment smelling into it I am kind of addicted to the scent. It feels so warm and floral but not sweet at all. This is the perfume that I want to get first in full size out of this wish list.

TESTER THOUGHT: The first impression of this perfume reminds me of Tom Ford Oud Wood but is not as strong as Tom Ford. The sour smell from Oud stand out so much even though the top notes has not fade away is very interesting. The smell of Black Leather comes afterwards and you can feel the touch of pattern of the leather. I would wear this perfume when I feels cool and edgy.
