[Travel] Thailand Trip Part 2

Good days everyone!!!!

Actually Akino is kinda exhausted from work plus school, that will be a very long story, i will share it when the time comes. I was having this idea of filming some video but never get to do it cause i just feel that i wasn't prepare enough. Plus i on the hunt for a nice tripods. (Though the decision is still unclear). But Akino will try my best to think about that.

So to the topic, part 2 of the trip. After we leaving Hua Hin the next destination we went is Bangkok, the capital of Thailand. After a good 2-3 hours drive...... we reached.

Before we officially leaving for Bangkok, we have the chances of taking the time to really go somewhere near around the hotel to actually have some food to eat while we were waiting for the rented van to come. But too bad the food in Thailand is just too spicy to my taste and my digestive system. So yup, after a good 3 hours drive we arrived at the hotel called 'Regency Park....

So this is the overview of how the hotel that we stayed in look like and also the room. The interior gives a vibe of ancient western feels to me, a feeling that is similar to what i have when i watched one episode of the ghost adventure show where the crew visited a place that is build upon a river flowing in the center. Its called Brookdale Lodge, i believed. Yup, it just give me this vibe. I'm sorry that i have to link this place to a haunted place but trust me this place is safe to stay in.

Since we arrived at noon, and we still have time so therefore we decided that we will go for a walk around the hotel to see what is there.
So yup, remember the photo and the sight because the stall at the right hand side photo there does have something good you guys might want to check out if you have the chances to visit that area in the future time.

So at night we went to this King Kong Korean BBQ. I not really sure what is the chaos going on with the family and the waitress standing in the front door but anyway after somes talk through we went inside the shop and were escorted to a vip room where each person just need to pay some extra service money for that. Each person is 45 baht (if no wrong) and you can order for whatever you want but you can just dine in for 1 or 2 hour, if i no remembered wrongly.

After that we head back for hotel by taxi, though is traffic jam but we reached at the shop real fast because there is this driving lane you can pass even though the traffic light is red as long as there aren't any cars. But this only apply to certain area of the road not necessary every road are like that is better to ask first. So while we were on the way back to the hotel we passed by this min cooper retail store. And this is my dream, to own a mini cooper, yes mini cooper!!! small car but with powerful engine that's what i want. hahaha...
So that's that, after come back from the shop the time are still early so they decided to went for a foot massage, after trying out at this shop, my father says this shop doesn't have a foot massage quality that he want so he think that this is not nice (that's what he said). But for me, this is my first time so i cannot judge, and that time i have a bruise on my legs so that's a little bit painful and is a little bit ticklish.  Hence, they decided to went for another shop around the area to try out. There are a lot of massage shop here so you need to choose wisely. The one that we go next is the one beside the rumour's bar called the lek's foot massage.

And my father said it feels good but for me it all the same LOL. There are also a manicure shop there and one of the sister is a nail art artist so she go and try out and she says it is quite nice. Plus the design of the shop is quite cute too. After the foot massage we went for the rumour's bar to grab some drinks.
At the bar i ordered a blue hawaii cocktail and i haven't had the chances of really finish it before i was asked by them to go back to sleep. I mean come on why i can't stay behind and have the fun just looking around. Ugh...there are a lot of cocktail available, the cost for this cocktail is 200 baht approximately is RM20. The taste of it is similar to those ordinary alcohol, obviously. But it is too sweet for me though. I wasn't able to enjoy a few sip of this cocktail when i was being "asked" to go back to hotel. So, yup, and also be aware of lady boy, doesn't wanna to be mean just a little words on that plus some of them are more beautiful than women, jealous!!!

That's all for that day, go back to hotel and wash up and dress down and take a good sleep.

the next day, we went to the Bangkok Export Centre, which is recommend by the driver because if we, the tourist got buy anything inside that export centre the driver can get free 5 litre of petrol. But too bad photo taking is not allowed inside. Basically inside it is like a showroom of how the silver and gold jewellery is being hand carved inside the first room you entered. Then into the next room showcased all the sparkle things, i mean jewellery and accessories. I kinda like how they set up the room is all black themed with spot light on the jewellery storage making them so tempting and wishing it was part of my closet lol.....After this room, the next room is all about purses and wallet and handbag and some miscellaneous things. And i did bought something from there but that will be share on the next post.

Yup, that's how the outside looked like. Oh, when you first enter, there are a counter you will see and you can asked for free soft drinks and you can take as many times you can cause obviously the family did it, you get what i meant *wink*.

After this we off to the so famous and glamorous sunday market called ChatuChak Market. You could find a best buy from there. Is open for certain day and certain period of time which i had forgot lol.

This is what you will see when you first enter the market. Basically this is like a wholesale market in Bangkok. You can find the same kind of stuff at different stores and with different price too, so be patient when you go on to hunt down some stuff. And there a lot of store and probably you need a whole day if you were to shop all the store. The things that i have bought i will shared it on the next blog post so be sure to look up for that.

That's some snapshot of the stall that i came across. And please pay attention of any store that have set up as the photo shown at the bottom right. Because you definitely want to try out that coconut ice cream and you will like it as much as i do.

yup, it look delicious doesn't it? Plus it was very hot that day so this ice cream does cool us down. Remember to check this out when you have the chances of visiting there. We went in the market around 12pm something and we come out from the market around 2pm so we only have 2 hours to do a rushing shopping. I did saw a shop which holds a painting or drawing that i like but i figured it might be expensive and it might be hard to bring it back home. But now i am regretting of not going upfront and ask first. T^T so sad.

The next destination is the Siam Water Park.
Only the kids go in to the park to play and i wasn't that much interested with the park so i didn't went in. Basically is like a amusement park with water involved. So yup. So instead of sitting there and waiting, the adults decided that they should go grab something to eat and went for shopping a little bit. So we went for a shopping mall nearby and grab a meal.

This cafe is called Yayoi cafe a japanese style cafe. And because i wasn't able to take in food like i normal do because my stomach can't accept the food there. So i only choose whatever it is light tasted in order to avoid the emergency search of toilet.

After 1-2 hours we went back to the park to pick up the kids and head back to hotel. It requires 1 hours plus to go back to the hotel so when we got back is already night time. So we called it for the day.
That's some snapshot from the car....

The next day we decided we will go to the shopping mall called Siam Paragon, a very big shopping mall.  It is being divided into different building and in different direction and full of branded shop like Dolce and Gabbana and other branded store.
So yup, the busiest area in Bangkok with lots of traffic and peoples. But before that, my father and his group split off to go to the flower market for some surveying stuff for their business stuff. Me and the rest go our way to siam center and we went to visit the four faces buddha first before we actually go to the shopping mall.
Yup, that's the four face buddha temple in the center of the busy city around the Siam Paragon. It is said that this is prayed for good luck. The bird in the cage is meant to release it to free them to symbolize a good deed and hope for a good fortune. It was very hot that day, and the place are full of smoke, causing my eyes can't open properly and become uncomfortable watery. It is say that the person need to pray to the all four faces of the buddha then the process is complete. I was just sitting at the bench waiting for them to finish their things together with the kids. After that we off to the Siam Paragon shopping mall.

As usual before anything we must eat first. So we went to the food court inside the mall. The paying system inside the food court is almost same as the Cicada that we went at Hua Hin which i shared on last post. Basically there will be a counter at the entry where you pay an amount of money upfront and there will be a card given. You can buy anything inside the food court  using the card up until the amount inside is finished. If at the end, there still some amount left it is redeemable.

After this, i was being "asked" to join the kids to go to the marine park called Siam Sealife Park. I was reluctant of going because the reason that i agreed to go to Thailand is that hopefully i can find something or inspiration to build my makeup collection and my wardrobe. But too bad, it seems that the mission has failed.

So i was being dragged to the Sealife Park instead of getting the chances of of shopping around. Even though when i was being asked whether i have fun i said i did, which was obviously a lie~~~ T^T
So basically that its inside the marine park, and at the end or beside the counter of buying ticket, there is a cinema room which is 5D which means its 3D plus 2D (sensation and action included.) Too bad for the syncing part it was out of timing and for the action part it is no good that the chairs had no safety belt or some sort because when the chairs bounced i almost fall off the chair, You have to show your entry ticket before you actually go into the cinema room. It just too bad that i have to missed the opportunity of going to walk around the shopping mall.

After finishing  with the park they went to buy some macaron. Though the macaron is cute but i not really liking it because it was too sweet.

Yup, that's the store in front the Dolce & Gabbana shop. While they were in the process of buying the macaron i was amazed by the dresses that being showed in the store, knowing that i am financially unavailable i take a peek inside the store and i was totally amazed, it would be good if i have some experience in working in these fashion stores. At least its something that i am interested in. Nah, whatever...

After that we went and meet up with my father. Then we head up to the watsons store around the area. And we are lucky enough to bump into the watsons opening ceremony where there are a lot celebrity standing around and posing around and also media. This is my first time seeing an idol and the hardcore fans and media. Well, i am amused at how they surround and focus at the idol if you know what i mean. Well, in straightforward form is none of my business duh even though i know that celebrity...but i managed to take some picture of that just for posting purpose hahaha....

Yup, i put the largest size as i can. But i don't know who she is...LOL!!! If you know let me know cause i want to know XD.

yup, is the 333rd watsons store opening in Bangkok. And they carry more brand than those watsons in Malaysia does and of course the shop are a lot bigger . They have 2 floor!!!!! I wish there are watsons like so in Malaysia or my area LOL >.< Watsons is always my place to go for whenever i wanted to do some cosmetics shopping. After doing the shopping at watsons,we decided to head back to our hotel. I did saw a lot of cosmetics product that i want to buy and try out and make a blog post plus make it a part of my makeup collection. But i was unable because i did feel some pressure on the amount of the money i spend, so ya.... (that's another long story)

So, yup...that's the outside of the paragon mall, nicely designed right?? i like the pathway as shown at the last picture, i think it will be prettier if it is at night time and with snow and with christmas songs~~~Wah!!! If it can make up a film scene... (Enough for the imagination!!) XD

Before actually going back to the hotel i have the chances to grab a starbucks cappuccino. The starbucks there taste a little bit more original compared to malaysia version. Malaysia version is a lot more on the sweeter side while the Thailand version is more on less sweet which is good. Therefore, we went back to hotel after that.

At night time we decided to grab our dinner at the Palazzo hotel area, there are a 7-11 shop in front this hotel.but when walk down the street and make a right turn you will see a lot of food stall selling seafood. There are this one shop selling hainanese style chicken rice which recommend by the family and they go and buy some. Because of me and the kids cannot take in the spicy food so the only choice that we have are these chicken rice. But at the end, the result still the same, my stomach just don't accept it when i get back to the hotel.

After the dinner, the family decided to go for a foot massage, at the shop nearby called lemon  grass massage, there are a very nice scent at the shop which makes me relaxing. And the food are not allowed to bring in. Because at that time they take away some food and the manager comes and keep sniffing at the plastic and asked is there any food inside. The awkward moment. I am the only one that didn't went for the massage because i just don't feel like it.So i waited at the lobby and look around at the staff there. The staffs look tired and exhausted but once there are customers coming in they must prepared themselves. The shop offered foot massage for 300 baht each person. Back shoulders massage, Thai aromatherapy oil massage, all are resonable price and it is the best one as my father said because he have more experience than me. So after 1-2 hours of massage we decided its time to go back to hotel and pack things up. Because the next day, we are leaving Thailand.

So that's all for the Thailand trip post. I will make sure that i will post a Thailand Shopping Haul after this, huh, the time have passed so fast. A lot of assignment and exam are up to me *dead*. That's a video compilaiton that i took when i was in Thailand if you cannot see the video here you can always hop in my youtube channel  ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vn5zZxoMPnc) <--- link.
Actually , at night the family always went for the night market but because i wasn't intake my meal properly and my stomach doesn't functioning well during that period of time so it always demotivate me to go anywhere else. T^T I was surprised i was still alive even though i wasn't eating properly.

So far so good, in the conclusion, the places that i would like to revisit for my future Thailand trip is:
  • Hua Hin area : Premium Outlet, spending my money and one whole day dedicated for this shopping.
  • Bangkok:  Siam Paragon & Watsons, spending my time and money to find pieces to build up my makeup and wardrobe. To be honest, all my clothes is being brought and choose by someone else instead of me go and buy myself cause that's just how my family is.
So, Yup. Stay Tuned for the next post.....(it might take a long time to make a post though because of the busy schedule.) *facepalm*
