Troye Sivan

Today I would like to introduce you guys to one of the youtubers that turned singer/artist. His name is Troye Sivan. Ok, honestly I know nothing about him. I came to know him because of one of his song called “Fools” which are very popular around the net at the time. I went and checked him out, he is good looking guy and I saw his video titled “Coming Out”. Instantly I understood.

Personally I don’t know what my stand are when it comes to this things because I’m not sure what will it look like in the future so I don’t concern about it that much. Personally I think most of his songs evolve around the themes of LGBT.

The first song called " Fools". I instant fall in love when the first beats came up. Love the composition of the melody. I would describe this song with intense beat sound and grooving motion of the melody with a sizzling of electronic alter. The composition is very unique and I can’t decide what genre to categorize this song in or mostly his songs.

I would take this songs to a hike and running and jumping and dance acting like a crazy person out of the mental hospital which will be perceived by the general public because they can’t listen to my earphones. I think this song suits for the modern dance choreography, no? ok~ For the visual or the music videos itself is too hot for me like oh my god, I think it is forbidden for 18 below XD.

This song is the part 2 of the concept story called ‘Blue Neighbourhood’. It evolves around the love between 2 guys.  The first part of the songs are called “Wild” and last part being “Talk me down”.  These are the two songs that I would like to recommend next.

Here is the link.

Troye Sivan - WILD (Blue Neighbourhood Part 1/3)

Troye Sivan - FOOLS (Blue Neighbourhood Part 2/3)

Troye Sivan - TALK ME DOWN (Blue Neighbourhood 3/3)

For the first song “Wild”, I would take it and have a run with a bit of jumping around and everything would look new and fresh and intriguing. I guess that’s what is also the lyrics trying to portray in this song. The last song “Talk me down” is a sad song and an unwinding song. I would take this song and climb the highest building in the city and watch the city lights shine bright in the dark. Watch the world works itself and pretend that I’m just observing the world from the outsider view. Plus this song would feel nice if there is cold wind blowing through my face and carry the noises in my head away.

Other songs that I would like to recommend are

Troye Sivan - YOUTH (Official Video)

For this song, I will take it in the middle of the night and walk around the street where the city is still busy with their life and dance in the middle of the street. Like all the scene shot in all those music videos.

Troye Sivan Swimming Pools (lyrics)

Loved the song instant when the music starts. Apparently this song is also one of the track that recorded in his “Blue Neighbourhood”. It kind of have a similar pattern in composition to the track “Fools”. I would take this song for a walk by the river, I guess.

Martin Garrix & Troye Sivan - There For You (Official Video)

Ok, this music video depicts where I will take this song to. So perfect. Liked the collaboration between the two artists. That’s when I come to know the existence of Martin Garrix. Going to a summer music festival is a goal on my wishlist that I would like to accomplish. This kind of festival is very rare and almost none at where I living here. I just hope that someday I should make it to the Coachella music festival and it seems huge and fun.

Troye Sivan - Strawberries & Cigarettes (Love, Simon Music Video)

This song is release recently after a long time no see…hahahaha..I was fascinated by the change in his style and hair colour. I love the combination of the white hair and the blue eyes. I always wanted to try that hair colour myself and always wondering if that looks good on me. Apparently I can’t because of my work. This song is one of the track for the movie called “Love, Simon” which is boys love movies.

Troye Sivan - Bloom

This is the latest song that was release. Just a warning that this music videos is too daring and blaring, watch with caution. I can’t stop laughing when the blue hair with the yellow coats came out and instantly relate it to a peacock…omg…..All the makeup looks good on him but no the custom. I understand that this is solely for the music video purpose. I must say what a breakthrough. The shooting of the music video is very different from what he had done before. The video look aesthetic though.

With that said, I will leave you here with all the music videos. Enjoy!!!
