ONE PIECE X SKECHERS

One morning when I woke up and scroll through my facebook account and discovered that One Piece have make a collaboration with Skechers to produce a series of sneakers. I screamed my heart out on my bed and instantly go and search online for this product.

Personally I have a pair of Skechers myself called Skechers Memory Foam Gel Infused in black color. In my impression of Skechers sneakers is that their design is not eye-catching as in it doesn’t make people think that this is an expensive nice shoes. Although their design is simple and not fashionable (me being picky) but it can’t be ignored that it is a good shoes to take you on a very long journey.

On to the collaboration, Skechers Korea have teamed up with One Piece to make collaboration on Asia exclusive D’lites 2 Sweet Monster sneakers. This is an exciting news for anime lovers and one piece fans which include me. I admit I am a sneakers or sports shoes person and anime lovers and hardcore (not quite) One Piece fans. I even once risk being taxed for importing Chopperman plush toy directly from Japan.

This series have 6 different color which is inspire from different characters from the anime namely, Chopper, Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Law and Doflamingo. The design of the series is much more eye catching compared to others Skechers sneakers. The design are sleek and sharp with all the detail lines. When I first look at it, the shapes and the outline of the sneakers reminded me of Nike Air Max. What do you think?

By just looking at the photo I am worried that the soles might too hard to bent when you are on uneven surface if you know what I mean. I’m also worried that it is not on the lightweight spectrum as I would like it to be considering how bulky the sneakers look like on the photo.

These sneakers is available for pre-order on 15 January and is set to hit the store and online on 18 January according to Hypebae website.
